The game is feeling really great! Here are some links to a gameplay video and screenshots for our 2nd movie (Overdrive) we're exposing to the press before our launch. The FX in this game are incredible.

We were just shown our final game trailer and I must say this is right behind Gears of War as one of the best trailers I've seen for a video game. I can't wait to watch it in public and see other's reaction.
What's up with the $10 games here? These games are twice as expensive as they should be. The older arcade games should be 200 points, $2.50, and the other new IP games should be $5. I'm not going to purchase an 800 point game out of principle. Unless it's really good... :)

The game is really a work of art and now the official Stuntman: Ignition webste is up to prove it. The website is in development, but expect updates as we release to the press new movies each movie until the game's release. You can download some decent wallpaper art while you patiently wait for the game's release... :) Here are the current wallpapers available based on the Aftershock and Overdrive movies. Download the full-sized versions from the website.
I never had an Amiga, but it was always a dream of mine to own one. I think I had every other Commodore computer except for the PET. We owned a Vic-20, 2 C64s (why two? well, I had a accident with a paper clip), and a C128. Saving my money and purchasing an amazing Vic-20 from the BX at Hickam AFB when I was 10 was a turning point in my life.

I remember playing several of these back in the day, Defender of the Crown on the C64. That, The Bard's Tale 1-3 and pretty much all of EPYX's games still stick in my mind as some of the best games of all time. Remember when EA was EOA? Man, I wasted a ton of graph paper with The Bard's Tale.
I played Another World (US: Out of this World) on my first IBM 386sx. My friend Will brought it over and we had to much around with various memory conifgurations just to get it to run.
Remember config.sys and himem.sys? What was it, Dos 6.2 that finally had a memory configuration tool that would muck around with your autoexec.bat and config.sys and through trial and error get an optimal configuration for your system?
Earlier this year, I bought a C64 retro gamepack that hooks directly to your TV. It has Jumpman, Summer Games, Mission Impossible, Pitstop, and many others. I remember enjoying Pitstop more than I do now, but Jumpman is still awesome.

What about Lode Runner? I still have the Win95 box of the update to the game Steve M and I played quite a bit. I can't seem to find the floppies, but the box is still cool.
A little bit of everything is going on! Easter has already come and gone. It's hard to believe that we've been here for 5 months. Shawn is still working long hours. The game is already getting a lot of buzz so that's a good thing. All you guys better go and buy it when it comes out so these long hours are well worth it. Stuntman: Ignition from THQ.
We still have not found a church yet. Several reasons; Shawn's work, can't find one close by that we feel we would fit in with and the ongoing saga of my eyes. For those of you that don't know, I was scheduled to have Lasik surgery on my eyes February 6th. Onthe 5th I went in for an exam and they detrmined that they could not do Lasik because my corneas were too thin and my estigmatism was too bad. So of course I was devastated. And I had six weeks of company coming to help me out after surgery. I had an appointment with another doctor a couple of days later and found that I only had one option if I wanted out of glasses or contacts, implants. So on the 29th of March I went through the first Verisyse Introcular Implant surgery. It actual wasn't as bad as I once thought. I had to go under IV sedation and they made a little incision in the top of my cornea and slid a tiny "contact" lens in. I have two little stitches in my eye that will come out on the 26th of April, when I go in for the left eye. It's amazing how well I can see out of the right eye, which has caused havoc with the glasses. In three months I will have to go back and they will do the PRK laser surgery to correct the rest of the astigmatism that the implants could not correct. Just so you know, I am the only patient, so far, that will have to have the additional PRK surgery. That's how bad my eyes are. I knew I was blind, but not that blind!
HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY TIMOTHY YORK! Sorry we couldn't be there to celebrate with you. We love you little guy!
It seems like we have had company every other week since we've been here. My Mom and Dad have been here twice, Shawn's Mom and Dad have been here and will be back on the 25th. Shawn's sister Laura and her family we're her for week for Spring Break. It's been nice having them all here. We're ready for you Washington folk to come down!
We went to Six Flags while Laura was here and we ran into Lindsay Brinkley first thing inside the park. How crazy is that! She and her friends drove up for Spring Break! She said that her family is doing well in Houston.
Well that seems to be all that's going on here Rachel has 4 more weeks of preschool before summer break. The kids and I will be heading to Arkansas Memorial Day weekend. Talk to you more soon!
Very novel idea from Microsoft, I was expecting their keyboard to be a full-size wireless keyboard that I'd have to find a place to hide in the living room. Fortunately, they've designed a killer backlit-keyboard attachment to use with their upcoming instant messaging support.
I also hope that it will work within the Media Extender to search for shows or go to a particular channel since it's very cumbersome to use the current remote control for that.
Here is a image of it and a link to engadget's article describing it in more detail:
So I kept on having performance issues with MCE 2005 and my Xbox 360 with a gigbit ethernet wired home. Crazy, crazy, stuff. It worked fine for a little bit after my last fix and has recently gone bad again without any new software installed. I decided to take the plunge and install Vista on my server. Wow, Media Center looks really nice Microsoft, good job! However, the network performance was still sub par. Completely dejected now, I went to Fry's to get a network cable tester to make sure all my wiring was alright. Turns out everything was fine with my cables in use so I went searching the web again for any clues when I stumbled upon a couple of links:
From the second link, I tried method two and wham, the network performance tuner was pegged out and had all the bandwidth it needed for HDTV and beyond.
Whew! Case closed, Rx Pause in the Gigabit ethernet driver flow control settings. I'll have to remember that one.
UPDATE (4/24): It's back and I don't know why!!! This sucks.
UPDATE 2 (4/24, part 2): Troubleshooting some more... So don't do both, even though I had only set the flow control to RX Paused, having the 100Mbps Full duplex setting with RX Paused might've been slowing it down too much. Turning the Speed & Duplex setting on my DLink DES-1024D switch back to Auto seems to have fixed it (at least for now).
UPDATE 3 (4/30): Problems came back again, and this time, I know why it keeps coming back. Evidently, the network adapter driver on Vista for Broadcom's NetXtreme 57xx series doesn't retain its advanced settings on reboot. Even though the settings show Rx Pause after a reboot, its really not set, it must just be a UI setting it's remembering. Everytime I reboot I have to change from Rx Pause to AUTO and back to Rx Pause for it to work. So the original problem wasn't XP, it was the gigabit issue and the recurrance of the issue is caused by a faulty Vista driver. I'll have to see what type of support I can get from Broadcom on this...
