- Windows Live launches SkyDrive today. It appears to be a full fledged product with a UI compared to Amazon's S3 which is soley an API others use to develop applications such as Elephant Drive and JungleDisk. It features an amazing 5GB of free storage and I hope I can find an API to hook into...
- Havok (owned now by Intel) is making their physics engine and animation packages available for free on the PC May 2008. This is great stuff! Now there are two choices for that big black box within your hobby game you work on at night. We use Havok at work and I'd love to dabble more with it at home.
- Commodore 64 titles are coming to the Wii Virtual Console. Commodore rocks!

The Commodore games always had the worst boxes. OMG! The Saddam Hussein Game? For the Amiga?
Fellas at work find some pretty cool stuff. The first clip is of a couple tesla coils sonically reproducing music, specifically the Super Mario Bros theme song. The second clip explains the science behind and and how to build one yourself. Very interesting. I'm amazed that it can do chords so well.
Paradigm just gave us our own retail copy! Choice of 360 or PS2...looks like I'll be playing it tonight! Sweet!
Be prepared for the barrage of marketing that will be thrown your way this weekend and next week surrounding the Tuesday 8/28 launch. I've been told that some Gamespots have already began selling their copies...tsk, tsk.
We're going to be featured on the octagon in tomorrow's UFC championship fight and one of the fighters will be shown playing our game. FOX, ESPN, USA, Discovery, Comedy Central and a load of other channels will be featuring our 30 second spot for a total of over 500 unique showings.

It's out tomorrow!
Apparently, the trailer isn't being shown in all the theaters that the Bourne Ultimatum is being shown. It appears they're going for larger markets and bigger college towns. I'm not sure how long the trailer will be shown, but I'll be checking it out very soon. Here are some theaters showing the trailer in our old stomping grounds from WA and AR. Sorry Jonesboro, no trailer for you. You'll have to come to TX for it.

Here is another gameplay video of Stuntman: Ignition, this time it's a whole level of the Aftershock movie, Lavaflow. It's one of the easier levels to string, too bad the driver in this clip couldn't pull it off. I'm pretty sensitive to framerate issues within the game, but the slowdowns you may see here are video latency, not framerate within the game. Enjoy the lava goodness!
I thought I was pretty good with a highscore of ~800K until I find out one of my high school buddies, Bill, has a 6M highscore. Unbelievable Bill! Darin and I had a GW challenge in the past, but he was never quite able to catch up to my score. I don't think there's anyway I could break 6M. My hat's off to you.
In case you've missed it, the premise for Stuntman: Ignition is that you are a Hollywood stuntman performing vehicle stunts for various movies, commercials, etc. There are several "movies" in the game and so far, THQ has released 3 movies to the press prior to our launch late summer 2007. The latest movie we're showing off is Strike Force Omega. It's set in an outlander/desert type environment with quite an obvious similarity to an 80's cult classic. Each movie has its own musical score, and I think this one is probably the best. Here is a gameplay video with commentary.
